Being adjacent to Oak Creek, Windmill Park provides ample opportunity to observe the diverse species that occur in the area. Visitors may see Northern Rough-winged Swallows coming out from the nearby bridge, migratory bird species resting under the cottonwoods during their 2,000 mile journey, and different frogs and toads calling along the banks of Oak Creek.

Getting There

From the intersection of East Mingus Avenue and State Route 89A east of Cottonwood, AZ, travel east for 3.7 miles. Windmill Park will be on the left.
