What You'll See

Sunflower Flat Wildlife Area is now an ideal spot for watching resident and migratory waterfowl. Northern Arizona's high-elevation lakes typically attract winter travelers in great numbers each year.

Reptiles and amphibians that may be encountered during the warmer months include greater short-horned and plateau lizards, gophersnake, Arizona black rattlesnake, Arizona toad, canyon and Arizona treefrogs.
