About

The Cliffrose Trail System is located just east of Cottonwood, AZ. It is a system of trails covering approximately 4 miles that cuts through a creosote and juniper shrubland providing scenic views of Cottonwood and the Black Hills to the southwest.

What You'll See

Cliffrose Trail takes visitor through the unique desert ecosystem of the Verde Valley. Limestone soils support rare plant species and a host of diverse wildlife including upland birds, desert spiny lizards, and white-tailed deer.

Getting There

The Cliffrose Trail System is located approximately 1.5 miles east of Cottonwood, AZ along Mingus Road. From Cottonwood, travel 1.5 miles east on Mingus Road. Then turn into the parking lot for the Cliffrose Trail System.
